Abensberg

Abensberg (Count), the father of thirty-two children. When Henirich II. made his progress through Germany, and other courtiers presented their offerings, the count brought forward his thirty-two children, "as the most valuable offering he could make to this king and country."

¶ Cornelia, the daughter of Scipio Africanus, is credited with similar sentiment. When a Campanian lady boasted in her presence of her magnificent jewels, Cornelia sent for her two sons, and said, "These are my jewels."
