Adams, John (1704-1740)

Adams, John. Born in Nova Scotia, 1704-1740. A clergyman of Newport and Philadelphia, much esteemed in his day as a poet. Poems on Several Occasions, a volume of his verses posthumously collected and printed, shows, however, no very especial marks of poetic talent.
