Æneas. [Greek 





.] (Greek & Roman Mythology.) A Trojan prince, the hero of Virgil's Æneid." He was the son of Anchises and Venus, and was distinguished for his pious care of his father. Having survived the fall of Troy, he sailed to Italy, and settled in Latium, where he married Lavinia, the daughter of Latinus, whom he succeeded in his kingdom. See CREUSA.
